The Employability Support Officer will engage with Homeless individuals and families with multiple barriers; assessing their needs, aspirations and supporting with tailored support involving signposting and making referrals to other support, community activities, with the aim of enabling people to access support to become socially included, improve Health and wellbeing, possibly moving towards training, educations and/or employment. This role will involve the Employability Support Officer engaging with homeless people and encouraging them to be involved in a range of community groups, organisations and projects within a specified area, and developing employability skills, attending interviews and becoming employable. |

Key responsibilities and accountabilities |

1. |
Undertake an initial needs assessments of the participants |
2. |
To work collaboratively with homeless groups by providing support and engaging homeless individuals and families |
3. |
Ensure that all participants have Up-to-date CVs |
4. |
Responsibility to act on any issues of concern in relation to Safeguarding Adults. This requires adhering to and acting on Dominion Training’s policies and procedures. |
5. |
Act as point of contact, provide telephone/online support to a caseload of referrals. |
6. |
Provide timely reviews, ad-hoc support and give advice to enable participants to achieve their goals and aspirations . |
7. |
Ensure Dominion Training system is kept up to date, recording accurate data on potential participants. |
8. |
Sign-post the participants to support groups and ensure that they attend appointments |
9. |
Work to the targets and KPI’s defined by the Partnership Manager. |
10. |
Manage a personal caseload of ‘pre-referrals’, being the initial single point of contact, signposting appropriately to help remove barriers to people achieving their aspirations. |
11. |
Ensure that all participants attend the weekly jobsearch activities and apply for jobs every week |
12. |
Book follow up calls with participants and engage with their advisers |
