Hour:                      37 hrs per week on a fixed term contract until 31/08/2022.

 

Dominion Training is proud to be working in partnership to deliver the Hopeful Families programme which is jointly funded by Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund. The programme is aimed to help individuals and their families with multiple barriers progress onto training and employment opportunities using innovative and engaging interventions.

The main role:

To establish and maintain relationships with employers, external training providers & colleges, alongside other employment based providers to achieve sustainable jobs and skills outcomes for participants on the Hopeful Families project.

To promote individual participants and the overall provision to local and regional organisations and stakeholder groups, in order to secure strong relationships and long-term employer commitment.

To achieve specific outcome targets in relation to employment, training/education and external job search activities for participants.

 

We are looking for someone with:

  • Understanding of the issues facing the long term unemployed and vulnerable customer groups
  • Experience in a developing and leveraging relationships to generate and close opportunities
  • Experience in delivering against business development plans and interpreting expected outcomes
  • Experience of networking and the ability to build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven track record in delivering results in a targeted, outcome-based role
  • Knowledge of the labour market within defined geographic areas
  • Existing relationships with employers and stakeholder groups
  • Must hold a current driver’s license and have access to a car

JOB SUMMARY

To establish and maintain relationships with employers, external training providers & colleges, alongside other employment based providers to achieve sustainable jobs and skills outcomes for participants on the Hopeful Families project. 

To promote individual participants and the overall provision to local and regional organisations and stakeholder groups, in order to secure strong relationships and long-term employer commitment.

To achieve specific outcome targets in relation to employment, training/education and external jobsearch activities for participants.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Build and maintain an excellent understanding of the local, regional and national labour market and training and education provision available for the customer group.
  1. Develop and carry out strategies to enable targeted approaches to employers to provide viable solutions for their recruitment requirements whilst also recognising the needs of participants
  1. Increase knowledge of local training and education providers and develop a portfolio of courses that can be accessed by participants on programme. Facilitate individuals with actively joining external skills courses to ensure the participant is able to progress.
  1. Deliver direct employer engagement activity in conjunction with the Family Mentor and participant to secure opportunities for employment; through marketing, telephone and face to face visits across the locality
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key influential stakeholder groups to ensure that our solution anticipates and meets employer needs, to gain access to employers and providers, and enhance our reputation. This will include preparation and delivery of presentations and workshops
  1. Build and maintain a database on employers & local providers to a defined quality standard, providing local and wider teams with timely access to vacancies, course schedules and other key data.
  1. Work alongside other Progression Coaches in the Calderdale, Kirklees & Wakefield area to reach the wider goals of the project aims and share opportunities.
  1. Develop relationships with and motivate the Family Mentors to facilitate caseload activities to meet outcome goals and ensure a pipeline of participants are available.
  1. To actively and positively promote Hopeful Families, its vision and values at all times. To include targeted marketing activities such as networking, attendance at events and public relations activity in line with the provision goals.
  1. Uphold safeguard and promote the organisations values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, corporate, social responsibility, equal opportunities and diversity as referenced in the company policy and values standards.

The post holder must also undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required.

The post holder is expected to work in partnership to reinforce the team philosophy across the partnership.
