Assessors Training (Level 3)
Information
The TAQA Level 3 Certificate in Assessing qualification has replaced the old A1 assessor course. The objective of the course is to train assessors to attain competence in the current assessment standards. These are the qualifications that will equip a wide range of assessors, trainers, facilitators and teachers to support learners.
Course Breakdown
- Unit 1 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment (3 credits)
- Unit 2 Assess occupational competence in the work environment (6 credits)
- Unit 3 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding (6 credits)
Who This Is Aimed For
The course is aimed at those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing from an awarding body within England and Wales who are currently recognised by Ofqual and Department for Education and Skills.
Course Duration
The course duration is 84 guided learning hours.
