Right steps to work

Dominion Training delivers the Right Steps to Work programme as a partner of Pluss. Right Steps to Work is a voluntary programme that will help you to overcome barriers that have kept you from employment and move towards and into work in Wakefield. Our staff will support you and give you one-to-one and wrap around support that will enable you to move ahead. We will offer you employability skills development and also offer you free skills development training and we will also support you while you are in employment Our support includes but not limited to the following:

• Supported job search e.g. CV building, application forms and interview skills
• Short Courses
• Office facilities for job search and free internet access
• Self-employment advice
• Free Courses such as SIA Security, CCTV, First Aid, Health & Social Care, Customer Service, etc.
• Work Experience
• Skills Assessments
• Work Trials

Eligibility

Participants must be aged 16 or over

Participants must be claiming one of the following;

• JSA or Universal Credit for at least 26 weeks
• Employment Support Allowance (ESA) – Work Related Activity Group
• Lone Parents claiming Income Support with a youngest child of age one year or over
